Tesla Case-Study Tesla, Inc. is an American multinational corporation known for its electric vehicles, energy storage solutions, and renewable energy products. Established in 2003, Tesla was propelled into the limelight under the leadership of CEO Elon Musk. Its mission is to expedite the world's transition to sustainable energy. To achieve this, the company has released several models of electric vehicles, established a network of fast charging stations, and developed advanced energy products. While its primary manufacturing operations are in the United States, Tesla has expanded its production internationally, a testament to its global ambition. (Wu, 2023) Tesla has become a driving force for change in the automotive industry, leveraging its innovations in electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, and autonomous vehicles to stimulate broader industry shifts. The company's unique software capabilities, particularly its over-the-air updates, have helped establish Tesla as a technology leader in an increasingly tech-savvy industry. However, despite Tesla's significant influence and impressive strides in innovation, the company

challenges stem from Tesla's aggressive approach to deadlines, which has resulted in occasional production shortfalls and product quality issues. - Market Expansion: Tesla can also look at further geographical expansion, especially in emerging markets where the demand for electric vehicles is starting to increase.
- Local Manufacturing: Building factories in key markets, similar to what they did in China, could reduce costs, allow them to meet local demand better, and circumvent trade barriers.
- Profitability: Tesla must strive to reach consistent profitability; This can reassure investors, make the business more sustainable in the long run, and provide capital for further research, development, and expansion.
- Quality Control: Tesla must address the quality issues that have been a significant point of criticism. High-quality products will enhance Tesla's brand reputation, improve customer satisfaction, and drive sales. (Eisenstein, 2018) Examples include the Gigafactory in Shanghai, which helped Tesla minimize manufacturing costs, avoid tariff issues, and effectively meet local demand. Course description:.
This Course provides an examination and analysis of multinational management functions and processes including planning, organizing, leading, and controlling across cultures and borders in globally diverse environments and organizations. Topics include cross-cultural strategic planning, leadership, and human resource management.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Accurately identify and use the foundations, concepts, and principles of multinational management.
