- What is the difference between an endogeneous disease and an exogenous disease? Can you give an example of each? → Endogenous diseases are those that originate from within the body. Diabetes mellitus is an example of an endogenous disease because it results from the body's failure to control blood sugar levels. → Exogenous diseases, on the other hand, are caused by external factors. Influenza is an example of an exogenous disease and is brought on by a virus that is spread by contact with other people or the environment.
